Two Little Pigs Move into New Stamford Digs

STAMFORD, Conn. – There were two new additions to the Stamford Museum and Nature Center on Wednesday: piglets that made their way down from the Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport. The two female “guinea hogs” will make their permanent home in Hecksher Farm.

The duo were escorted in one of the vans from radio station 95.9 The Fox and welcomed by students in the Nature Center’s art, nature and me preschool.

To officially welcome the piglets to their new Stamford home, the Nature Center will hold a contest asking visitors to help name them. Suggestions can be made during Harvest Festival Weekend, Oct. 15 and 16.
