Brian Sachs is credited with taking the photo of what is called the “Dutchman’s Pipe” or “Queen of the Night,” according to a press release.

The cactus has bloomed three or four times at the Bartlett Arboretum this year.

The Dutchman’s Pipe cannot withstand extremely cold or hot temperatures, so each cactus that blooms opens at night and closes before dawn.
