Stamford Salon Supports the Troops

STAMFORD, Conn. — Reveal Hair Salon in Stamford will start collecting items for soldiers stationed in the Middle East on July 23. The salon will be a drop-off location for the Stamford-based group SoldierSocks.

“With SoldierSocks’s help, we offer our troops a token of our gratitude by collecting needed items like socks and baby wipes,” Reveal’s owner, Maria Castellucci, said in a press release.

The campaign begins Saturday with the salon donating 20 percent of its proceeds for the day. The salon will collect baby wipes and tube socks through Aug. 13, the release said.

“Once again, SoldierSocks is humbled by local businesses and merchants like Reveal who reach out to us and offer their businesses as a drop-off location,” Christopher Meek, founder of SoldierSocks, said in the release.
