STAMFORD, Conn. -- Employees from a Stamford law firm tackled a strenuous revitalization project at a group home in Norwalk to support STAR, Inc.

Employees from Ryan Ryan Deluca refurbished decks at a STAR, Inc. Lighting the Way group home. The project included stripping, sanding and painting two decks, as well as all the railings and stairs to the home.

The volunteers chose the project to serve the community and improve the daily atmosphere for the residents while restoring the physical environment of the group home, providing greater opportunities for residents, visitors, staff and family members.

STAR is a nonprofit organization that has provided services to individuals with developmental disabilities in Mid-Fairfield County since 1952.

Beck Fineman, Esq., who leads Ryan Ryan Deluca's volunteer group, and Tom Lambert, Esq., who works closely with Beck and coordinated this project, said the firm is dedicated to giving back to the community.

“For years our firm has been dedicated to giving back to the community and, as our firm has grown, we have actively sought to expand our volunteer program throughout Fairfield County,’’ Lambert said. “We were glad to be able to help our friends at STAR. STAR is a great organization that serves nearly 600 families in Fairfield County.”

Ryan Ryan Deluca LLP is a litigation law firm with over a 50-year history in Connecticut, and a focus on insurance and business-related litigation.

STAR, Inc., Lighting the Way is a not–for-profit organization serving individuals of all ages who have intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as providing support services to their families. Services are provided in Norwalk, New Canaan, Wilton, Weston, Westport and Darien.
