Stamford Band to Kick Off Alive @ Five Series

STAMFORD, Conn. — Stamford’s own Latin-pop-rock band Pana! will be the first group to take the stage for the city’s Alive @ Five concert series this summer.

Pana!, one of three winners of the Stamford-Downtown Special Service’s District’s  Bandapalooza, will be opening for the American Chicano band Los Lonely Boys on Thursday, June 21, a press release said. Other Bandapalooza winners were pop-rock artist Jay Loftus, who will open on June 28, and alternative-rock-jam-funk band Running Late, which will open on July 5, the release said.

The complete schedule of Alive @ Five acts:

June 21 — Pana!, Los Lonely Boys

June 28 — Jay Loftus, G. Love & Special Sauce

July 5 — Running Late, Creedance Clearwater Revisited

July 12 — Emergency Service, Moon TaxiMatisyahu

July 19 — My Pet Dragon, Eytan & The EmbassyHot Chelle Rae

July 26 — Annie Minogue, Matt Beilis, Javier Colon

Aug. 2 — Frank Viele & The Manhattan Project, Matt O’ReeForeigner

All concerts are rain or shine and begin at 5 p.m.
