Small Business Seminars Return in Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. – The Mayor’s Small Business Advantage Series returns from its summer vacation Wednesday night with a seminar on high-impact marketing.

Titled “High Impact Marketing: Capitalize on the Holiday Season and Beyond,” the session will focus on marketing a small business during the struggling economy. The panel will be made up of Jeffrey Selden of Marcia Selden Catering and Event Planning, Peter Saverine, executive director of the Bartlett Arboretum, and Liz Osta, vice president and buyer of NAGI Jewelers.

“I regard our small-business owners as ‘key’ in the Stamford economy and the role they play in the creation of many jobs,” Mayor Michael Pavia said in a press release.

Wednesday’s workshop will begin at 5:30 p.m. with an hour of  networking and light refreshments followed by the seminar until 8 p.m. The workshop will take place at Stamford High School in room 725.

Two more workshops are scheduled: “A New Business Plan for the New Economy” on Oct. 12 and “Money, Money, Money – Who Has It and How To Get It” on Nov. 16.
