Pavia Invests in Stamford Financial Event

Stamford Mayor Michael Pavia will spend part of his Saturday at UConn-Stamford at the Free Financial Planning Day and said he is happy to have the city of Stamford be an active partner in event.

“In these challenging economic times, we look to financial professionals to provide the assistance people need by sharing their expertise. Financial Planning Day is a win-win for the city of Stamford,” Pavia said in a statement. The day will feature several speakers, including Pavia and financial journalist and author Stacey Tisdale. Also, attendees will get the chance to meet one-on-one with financial planners and consultants about a variety of subjects, including retirement planning, investing and managing money in hard times.

The advisers and consultants will give advice on a no-strings-attached basis and cannot hand out business cards or sell any products to attendees.
