STAMFORD, Conn. You can meet the new head of Stamfords Sexual Assault Counseling Center and get in some holiday shopping at the same time Thursday, Oct. 27, at Agabhumi, the Best of Bali.
The new executive director is Ivonne Zucco. She replaces Cathy Malloy, who served the Center for Sexual Assault Crisis Counseling and Education for 10 years before leaving for Hartford with her husband, Dannel Malloy, after he was elected governor. Zucco officially took over July 1, the start of the fiscal year.
Zucco, a Greenwich resident, previously served as the center's bilingual counselor and operations director.
Agabhumi, located at 22 Magee Ave., Stamford, will donate 20 percent of its proceeds from Thursday night's sales to the center. Libby Cooke Catering will provide appetizers for the event. The reception will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
