STAMFORD, Conn. – Marilyn Keyes Travis, a former longtime Stamford resident, died May 12 at her home in New Canaan. She was 84.

After moving to New Canaan in 1995, Travis was involved with the Newcomer's Club, Garden Center, Senior Center and Women's Club. She also volunteered, making calls for Are You Okay (RUOK). She loved the family tradition of walking to God's Acre for caroling on Christmas eve. Travis was a Stephen Minister and a deacon at the First Presbyterian Church of New Canaan.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert, and her sister, Beverly Heinritz. Travis is survived by a daughter, Lynne (Christopher) Burns, of Bluffton, S.C.; two sons, James (Ellen Bobka) Travis, of Armonk, N.Y., and John (Barbara Punzi) Travis, of Stamford; and two grandchildren.
