Tracie Wilson, senior vice president of programming for the media center, saw the geese in the middle of the street when she arrived at work Tuesday, said an email from Jennifer McIntosh, director of public relations. She enlisted the help of Bill Mason, head of security, who was aided by Stamford Police Officer Frank Chiafari in escorting the geese to the park.
The two then ushered the mother and father geese and their goslings along the sidewalk on Tresser Boulevard to the park. The two even had to stop traffic on Washington Boulevard for the family to get there, the email said.
Once at the park, the goose family met other Canada geese and began swimming safely in the river.
