George Flynn, 78, Drafter, Formerly of Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. – George H. Flynn formerly of Stamford died May 7 at his home. He was 78.  

Born May 1, 1934, in Mamaroneck, N.Y., he was a son of George and Edna Flynn. He attended Wright Tech in Stamford and learned the trade of drafting. As a young man, Flynn served in the Army National Guard. Before his retirement, he was a drafter for Philips Medical Systems in Shelton. 

Flynn was married to Barbara Koda Flynn and enjoyed drawing and spending time with his dog, Suzie, and his family. Most recently a Milford resident, he was an avid fan of the New York Yankees.

He is survived by two sons, George "Rusty" Flynn Jr. of New York and Shawn Flynn and wife McKenzie Granata of Milford; a sister, Judi Russo of Stamford; a brother, Jan Flynn of Ohio; and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife.

Friends and family may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Cody-White Funeral Home in Milford. Burial will be private.
