STAMFORD, Conn. David Allen Jones of Stamford died May 21 at Long Ridge of Stamford. He was 67.
Born in Miami, Fla., he was the son of Donald and Evelyn Jones. Known affectionately as "Smokey Dave," Jones worked as a union carpenter for Local 210. A former Norwalk resident, he enjoyed motorcycles, boating, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Jones is survived by his wife of 43 years, Alice Sandor Jones; two sons, Donald Joseph Jones and Stephen Allen Jones; a sister, Jacquelyn Loustaunau; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Mason.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Magner Funeral Home in Norwalk. A burial service will be at noon Wednesday at Riverside Cemetery in Norwalk.
