Carlson was recognized with the “Corporate Partnership Award” for her two decades of fundraising efforts for the Stamford-based club, representatives said. The event was held March 13 at the Palace Theatre main stage at 61 Atlantic St. in downtown Stamford. The event raises funds to support educational programs and activities of the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford.
Carlson and RFR Realty, owner and manager of a 1.8-million-square-foot Stamford office building portfolio, "is widely recognized for its more than 20 years as title sponsor and race organizer of the Stamford corporate 5K Run/Walk benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford. The run/walk has raised over $2 million during its history," representatives said. Carlson is the former board president and 20-plus year board member of the Stamford Club.
“RFR and Margaret Carlson have made such a difference for our boys and girls, and we could never have reached this incredible accomplishment without her outstanding commitment to the organization,” said Christine S. Larsen, chief development officer of the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford.
“City Chic” 2014 honored Liz and Nagi Osta of Stamford-based Nagi Jewelers with a “Guardian of the Community Award.” The presenting sponsors of the event were RFR Realty, GE, the Ashforth Co. and Eurest Dining Services. Bill Evans, senior meteorologist of WABC TV, hosted the evening event that began with a cocktail party on the Palace Theatre Stage, followed by an awards presentation, raffles and auction with prizes.
