The clinic will be for people and children 3-years of age and older, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the lobby of the Stamford Government Center, 888 Washington Blvd.
The city will charge $30 per vaccination, which must be paid by check, a city release said.
Infection of the flu is spread through direct contact through coughing and/or sneezing, and indirect contact through hands and soiled articles, the release said.
The incubation period is one to three days, however people can be contagious from the day before symptoms appear to seven days after, the release said.
Signs and symptoms of flu include: ? Sudden onset of fever (over 100 F) ? Headache ? Chills ? Muscle aches and pains ? Sore throat ? Cough ? Mild pinkeye ? Decreased energy ? Abdominal pain ? Nausea and vomiting (These symptoms alone or with a fever often are caused by other factors, not influenza virus). ? In young infants, croup, bronchiolitis, or pneumonia. The city will continue to release information on the flu and any future vaccinations on its website.
