The meeting, which is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31 at Union Memorial Church in Stamford (58 Church Street), is intended to honor survivors of gun violence and spread awareness. It is open to anyone interested in gun violence prevention.
“We invite you to hear stories from survivors in our community and to learn about our efforts to change our culture of gun violence and improve our common sense gun laws,” wrote the group in a press release, citing a shocking statistic: by Feb. 1, the United States will have experienced more deaths from gun violence than any other peer nation experiences in the entire year.
