Why It's Waterfront Worthy: Crab Shell opened as the one of the first restaurants on the West Branch of Stamford Harbor 27 years ago and continues to go strong. At the time the area was primarily industrial and undeveloped; today it's part of the bustling Harbor Point community, complete with a free water taxi in the summer to ensure guests can experience the area in style. The eatery is known for it's dockside "Crab Shack" patio which hosts live music. Of course the fresh seafood is another big draw.
