Cashman, a Darien resident, will speak at the Ferguson Library about the importance of civility in baseball.

He has been with the New York Yankees for 27 years. He started out as a 19-year-old intern with the baseball team’s minor league and scouting department, making his way to senior vice president and general manager -- and building three World Series-winning teams in his tenure.
