Monday, Sept. 24

Dancing With the Stars Premiere Party: 7 p.m. Watch season premiere of the hit ABC show at Dance With Me Studios, 20 Summer St., with other Dancing With The Stars fans while learning a step or two yourself. $15.

Civility in America Series: 8 p.m. First speaking event in the series — “Civility in Art” with James Cuno, president of the J. Paul Getty Trust. Ferguson Library.

Tuesday, Sept. 25

Home School Day: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Kids 5 and up learn about Native American culture. $15. Stamford Museum & Nature Center, 39 Scofieldtown Road,

Wednesday, Sept. 26

Drawing Natural Forms of Life: 7 p.m. Artist Kathie Milligan teach people how to draw forms of nature. Admission is $25 per class for non-members and $20 per class for members.Bring a sketchpad, HB pencils, 2B pencils, and an eraser. Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens, 151 Brookdale Place, Stamford. 

Coalhouse Trivia: 8 p.m. Coalhouse Pizza hosts weekly trivia night. 85 High Ridge Road, Stamford.

Thursday, Sept. 27

The Stamford Wine Opener: 6:30 p.m. Wine tasting supports Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Sheraton Hotel, 700 E. Main St.  Regular tickets are $100, and VIP tickets are $150.

Stamford Board of Education: 7 p.m. The school board will have its monthly meeting. Fifth floor of the Stamford Government Center, 888 Washington Blvd.

Watch “Raiders of the Lost Ark”: 9 p.m. Head to the Avon Theatre, 272 Bedford St., to see Harrison Ford portray Indiana Jones as part of the Cult Classic Film Series. Tickets prices are: Carte Blanche: Free, Members: $6, Students/Seniors: $8, Nonmembers: $11.

Friday, Sept. 28

After School Fun In Stamford: 4:15 p.m. The Harry Bennett Branch of the Ferguson Library, 115 Vine Road, will host a kids event with fold stories, and crafts. For kids in kindergarten through third grade, and people should all 203-351-8294 to register.

Family Fishing Class: 6:15 p.m. Learn all about the different rules, regulations, and angling tips for free at the Stamford Government Center, 888 Washington Blvd.
