What To Do In Stamford This Weekend

STAMFORD, Conn. — Here are a couple of events taking place this weekend in Stamford, culminating with a couple of baseball celebrities rappelling down the Landmark Square Building downtown. To see what else is going on this weekend visit the Events Section.

Friday, Nov. 30

STAR Holiday Open House: 6 to 9 p.m. Take your pets and your children for a night of holiday crafts and pet photos with Santa, while helping support Stamford Animal Rescue. There is a $15 suggested donation admission fee and the event will be at the High Ridge Shopping Center.

Saturday, Dec. 1

Terry Conners Synchronized Skate Open: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Head over to Terry Conners Ice Rink, 1125 Cove Road, to see some of the best synchronized ice skating teams from Connecticut, New York and New Jersey. Admission is $7 for adults and $3 for children.

Sunday, Dec. 2

Heights and Lights: 5 p.m. Head downtown to enjoy this annual holiday tradition as Brian Cashman of the Yankees, and Bobby Valentine rappel down the Landmark Square Building with Santa Claus. There also will be a tree lighting in nearby Latham Park afterward.
