Friday, Sept. 28
Free Fishing Class: 6:15 p.m. Get a free introduction to fishing in the cafeteria of the Stamford Government Center, 888 Washington Blvd. The program is suited for children ages 7 and up.
Astronomy Night: 7 p.m. Learn all about solar winds and get to look at the night sky through a 22-inch telescope at the Stamford Museum and Nature Center, 39 Scofieldtown Road. The event is $3 for members, $2 for kids and free for members.
Saturday, Sept. 29
The Secret Lives of Women and Girls with ADHD: 9 a.m. Psychologist Ellen Littman will present on The Secret Lives of Women and Girls with ADHD at Villa Maria School, 151 Skymeadow Lane. The registration fee is $30.
Mile of Pink: 10:30 a.m. Join Mayor Michael Pavia and WABC-TVs Bill Evans in Stamfords Veterans Park on Atlantic Street in support of breast cancer awareness.
Girl Scout Day: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Stamford Museum and Nature Center, 39 Scofieldtown Road, will be hosting Girl Scouts and introducing them to animals, field exploration, arts and crafts and more. Scouts can register individually or with their troop, and the cost is $8. Girls will be able to fulfill badge requirements at the event.
Sunday, Sept. 30
Treetops Chamber Music Society Concert: 4 p.m. Musicians from the Metropolitan Opera will be playing Shubert, Dohnany, and Mozart at Treetops Studio, 359 Merriebrook Lane. Adult: $40, Student: $20, Child 5-15 w/paying adult: $5
