The contribution will support American Red Cross emergency preparedness and response services in Connecticut and Rhode Island with the goal of reducing injuries and deaths from home fires.

“We’re grateful to ServiceMaster Restoration By Wills for this generous gift and for helping us to grow our Ready 365 program in this region,” said American Red Cross Connecticut and Rhode Island Region CEO Mario Bruno. “ServiceMaster Restoration By Wills partnership is key in helping us educate communities on fire safety.”

Last year, the Red Cross responded to more than 1,000 local disasters in Connecticut and Rhode Island – most of them home fires. The Home Fire Preparedness Campaign will bring Red Cross volunteers into communities to educate residents about fire safety and fire escape planning, as well as to install smoke alarms free of charge.

“ServiceMaster Restoration by Wills is proud to become a supporter of the Red Cross and the Ready 365 program. Being in the disaster restoration industry, we understand the impact and devastation that disasters cause and the importance of responding to those in need. We look supporting the Red Cross in their mission,” said Steve Wills, owner and managing director of ServiceMaster Restoration by Wills.

Through the partnership, ServiceMaster Restoration by Wills employees will have the opportunity to volunteer with the Red Cross. ServiceMaster Restoration by Wills will also share safety information and tips from the Red Cross during the campaign.
