Parents will learn what important skills their children need to finish the school year strong and transition into the next grade and/or school with "How to Support Your Students' Study Practice and Keep Your Sanity"  from 7-8 p.m. Thursday, May 5 in Room C.

In this workshop led by Michelle Sagalyn, Successful Study Skills 4 Students’ president, parents of middle and high school students will learn how they can support their child for finals and prepare them for the next school year. The latest in study tools and habits will be discussed, including effective note taking, how to set goals, time management and other skills that can make a difference for students.

“We are excited to partner again with Chelsea Piers and offer the Parent Workshops,” Sagalyn said. “Parents naturally want their children to have every possible competitive advantage, in the classroom and on the playing fields – especially as finals loom -- and the next academic year approaches. As in sports, implementing even a single new skill has been shown to boost students’ motivation and academic performance.”

The workshop is free but registration is requested. Click here to register.

“Chelsea Piers is interested developing a complete athlete,” said Greta Wagner, executive director at Chelsea Piers Connecticut. “We are pleased to be able to offer tools and programs that help parents and athletes off the playing surface.”

Chelsea Piers Connecticut is at One Blachley Road, Stamford.
