"Messiah" written in 1742 is Handel’s best-known, best-loved and most performed work today.

The Pro Arte Singers, a fully professional chorus, were formed in 1972 by current artistic director, Arthur Sjögren, and a small group of professional singers who shared his dream to perform the finest choral music dating from the Renaissance to the present.
