STAMFORD, Conn. -- SilverSource Inc. will holds its 16th annual charity golf outing on Monday, May 23, at Rockrimmon Country Club in Stamford.

The organization, formerly known as Senior Services of Stamford, is holding the tournament to raise funds for the Ride to Wellness Medical Transportation Program and the Housing Stability Fund.

This year’s event will honor Paul and Patricia Kuehner of Ridgefield. Paul, president of Building and Land Technologies, and Patricia are engaged in numerous charitable activities from Stamford to Zambia, where they are active in the ongoing success of an orphanage.

Together they are a formidable force for changing the lives of those who need a hand, both at home and abroad.

“The annual golf tournament is a fun day for everyone, and also an opportunity to make a real difference,” said Karen M. Kelly, SilverSource Board Chair. “Funds raised at the tournament support efforts that combat two of the top challenges facing lower income older adults: the Ride to Wellness transportation program promotes healthy aging by ensuring safe affordable transportation to medical and dental appointments.

"The Housing Stability Fund prevents homelessness through crucial programming. I invite everyone to come out, have fun and join us in supporting our older neighbors in need.”

Registration for the event is open, and all are welcome to participate.

Visit their website or call, 203-324-6584.

This day commences with a pre-tournament brunch and registration at 10:30 a.m., and the tournament begins with a shotgun start at noon.

In addition to team awards, golfers will compete for individual prizes in closest to the pin, longest drive and putting contests.

At 5 p.m. players will enjoy a reception where they can mingle and vie for special auction and raffle prizes, followed by a seated dinner at 6:15 p.m.

Foursomes may enter at a cost of $1,000 and individuals may register at a cost of $300. Sponsorship packages are also available.

Rockrimmon Country Club, with its course originally designed by renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones, is located at 2949 Long Ridge Road in Stamford.
