Fast & Furious: Fairfield County Drivers Among Six Busted For Drag Racing A group of six people lost their rides after they were a little too fast and a little too furious on a busy Westchester roadway. Officers from the Harrison Police Department broke up an illegal drag racing ring along Westchester Avenue early on Friday, April 5, arresting six drivers and seizing their cars. Harrison Police Chief Joseph Yasinski said that at approximately 1 a.m. on April 5, an officer on patrol spotted between 60 and 80 vehicles and dozens of spectators who were gathered in the vicinity of Westchester Avenue near the Butcher Bridge. Tornado Watch In Effect As Severe Storms Sweep Through Area A Tornado Watch is in effect for Fairfield County as severe storms sweep through the area from west to east. The watch went into effect at 4:55 p.m. Tuesday and lasts until midnight. The watch comes after a Tornado Warning expired at 4:45 p.m. in Northern Westchester after a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado crossed over the Hudson River from Pomona in Rockland County to Peekskill.
