Former President Donald Trump sexually abused writer E. Jean Carroll in a department store in the 1990s and then defamed her when he claimed she was lying about the allegation, a New York jury found in a unanimous verdict. The Manhattan federal jury read its verdict shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 9 after deliberating for approximately 2.5 hours.
