Five From Fairfield County Charged With DWI In NY State Police Stops More than 30 motorists were busted by New York State Police troopers as law enforcement agencies in the Hudson Valley continue a nationwide crackdown on drunk, drugged and distracted driving. A total of 18 of those charged were from the region: Westchester County On Friday, Oct. 12, State Police from Somers arrested Edwin P. Loja Cabrera, 21, of Ossining, for DWI. He was traveling on Route 100 in Somers, when he was involved in a motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested. Four Fairfield County Residents Charged With DWI In NY Over Weekend With local and state police agencies cracking down on drunk, drugged and distracted driving, several local residents were among nearly two dozen in the area who found themselves on the wrong side of the law over the weekend. As part of the STOP-DWI crackdown, State Police troopers busted several motorists for driving while intoxicated as they attempt to stop motorists from drinking and driving in the area.
