31-Year-Old Charged With Murder After Man Found Dead At Home In Northern Fairfield County
A murder suspect is in custody after a man was found dead inside a residence in Fairfield County. At about 1 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, in Ridgefield, officers responded to a home on Powder Horn Drive, located off Farmingville Road, for a report of a domestic incident and discovered the deceased victim, an elderly man. The suspect, Steven James Urrichio, age 31, has been charged with murder and is being held at the Ridgefield Police Department on a court-set $1.5 million bond. Speed Limits Changed On Nine Roads In Ridgefield
Several changes have been made to the speed limits on a total of nine roads in Ridgefield, according to the Ridgefield Police Department. These speed limits went into effect between Thursday, May 30 and Friday, May 31 and are in line with the Connecticut Department of Transportation’s Office of the State Traffic Administration approved town road speed limits. The following town roads and/or portions of town roads have been altered: 1. Lafayette Ave – Washington Street to Copps Hill Road (changed to 20 mph) 2. Items Stolen From Two Vehicles In Ridgefield
Police are investigating a series of auto break-ins that saw several items stolen from a pair of cars in Ridgefield The Ridgefield Police Department issued an alert on Monday reminding residents to remove all valuables from their cars and to report any suspicious activity to police after two cars were entered and rummaged through overnight at some point on Sunday night or early Tuesday morning.
