Covid-19: CT Confirms 6,000 New Daily Infections; Here's Latest Breakdown Of Cases By County Thousands of new COVID-19 cases were confirmed by the Connecticut Department of Public Health as the positive infection rate rose up near 9 percent.  In the latest update provided by the Department of Health, nearly 67,000 COVID-19 tests were administered in Connecticut on Monday, Dec. 20, resulting in 6,000 laboratory-confirmed cases of the virus for a daily positive infection rate of 8.98 percent, up from under 7 percent the previous day.
