Connecticut State Police investigators are seeking the public’s assistance as they attempt to track down a suspect who attempted to use counterfeit cash at an I-95 rest area. According to police, at approximately 1:20 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25, troopers were dispatched to the Madison rest area, where there was a report of the middle-aged man using the phony money. The man was able to leave the area without further incident before investigators arrived. Police said the investigation into the counterfeit cash is ongoing. Man Caught With Counterfeit Money, Illegal Weapon In I-84 Stop New York State Police troopers seized more than $5,000 in counterfeit cash, drugs and an illegal weapon during a traffic stop on I-84 in Putnam County. Shortly before 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 12, troopers conducted a traffic stop of Bronx resident Anthony Smith’s 2018 Kia Optima when he committed a vehicle and traffic law violation on the interstate. During the stop, it was determined that the 26-year-old was driving his vehicle with more than three suspensions on his license and he was allegedly in possession of Oxycodone pills.
