22-Year-Old Facing Multiple Charges After High-Speed Chase Ends In Westport Crash A 22-year-old man took police on a high-speed chase before losing control of his vehicle, striking several mailboxes and fleeing on foot. An officer from the Westport Police Department on patrol at approximately 3 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14 spotted a vehicle speeding on Post Road West.  When the officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on King’s Highway North, the driver sped away and refused to stop when he activated his emergency lights.
