The Fairfield County area remains under a Winter Weather Advisory until noon Friday.
The forecast calls for 4 to 6 inches of snow along with 10 to 20 mph winds. Falling and blowing snow may cut visibility and cause dangerous travel conditions across Fairfield County, the National Weather Service warned.
The snow is expected to taper off by noon and begin melting as temperatures reach 35 degrees by Friday afternoon.
