Nicholas Boland, 19, of Shelton, and William Kopley, 19, of Waterbury, were both arrested after they were found in a car at a gas station on the Ansonia/Seymour line.
Boland was charged with theft of a firearm and criminal possession of a firearm, police said. He is being held on $150,000 bond.
Kopley was charged with theft of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit and weapons in a motor vehicle, police said. He posted $2,000 and is due in court on March 17, police said.
On March 2, Shelton police responded to three forced-entry, residential burglaries on the south side of the city. Electronics were stolen during each incident and jewelry and a firearm were reported stolen from one home, police said.
Detectives investigating identified Boland as a suspect and obtained a search warrant for his home, police said. He was a not there, but interviews and help from the Seymour Police Department led them to the gas station, police said.
A third person in the car was not charged in the incident.
The investigation continues and more arrests are expected.
