Nichelle Smith, 41, of Naugatuck, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass in the incident, police said.
Officers responded to Shelton High School on a report of an unwanted person. Upon arriving, school officials said they were trying to get Smith to leave the property.
Smith did leave without confrontation with officers, who advised her not to return to any Shelton school properties or she would be arrested, police said.
About a half-hour later, she was at the Board of Education’s Long Hill Road property, where she was arrested.
Smith was released on a promise to appear in Derby Superior Court on Sept. 18.
No other details were released in the incident.
