Adam Besaw was arrested Sunday and charged with first-degree sexual assault, two counts of second-degree sexual assault, and four counts of risk of injury and impairing morals of a minor and coercion.
The arrest stemmed from a complaint taken from a family friend of a juvenile victim who said she was sexually assaulted by Besaw when she was 12 years old, police said.
The juvenile victim also said that Besaw bribed her with gifts and provided her with money dating to 2014, police said.
Besaw was held on $250,000 court-set bond and was arraigned at Derby Superior court on June 5.
