Police: Man Suspected In Multiple Area Burglaries Arrested In Shelton

SHELTON, Conn. — An Oakville man who is a suspect in several burglaries in the area was arrested Sunday after police say he stole snow blowers and commercial equipment from a Bridgeport Avenue business.

Michael Petro, 45, was charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree larceny, police said. He was released on $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 16.

The arrest stems from a complaint from PerkinElmer Inc., police said. Police developed Petro as a suspect through surveillance video there of the suspect and his pickup truck.

Other arrests are expected in the near future, police said.
