Officers from the Milford Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash on Merwin Avenue near the Abigail Street intersection at approximately 6:35 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20.
Police said that the investigation determined that a vehicle had struck a rock wall in the area and then fled the scene.
According to police, investigators were led to Milford resident James Dragonette, who was subsequently arrested and charged with evading responsibility for fleeing the scene of an accident without reporting it and cited for failure to drive right.
Dragonette was released following his processing and scheduled to appear back in court on Thursday, Nov. 14 to respond to the charges.
