SHELTON, Conn. -- The Huntington Fire Department and the Echo Hose Hook & Ladder Co. responded to a car fire on Route 8 northbound near Exit 12 at about 2 a.m. Thursday, May 5.

No one was injured during the incident. Crews remained on the scene until the vehicle could be removed.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
