Echo Hose Hook & Ladder In Shelton Calls For Food Bank Donations

SHELTON, Conn. -- Echo Hose Hook & Ladder Co. will hold its first annual recycling and food bank drive Saturday, March 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.the day in Shelton.

Recycling items to be collected include cans, glass and plastic bottles.

Only redeemable cans – five cents — will be accepted. For example: beer cans, soda cans along with 1 liter bottles and 2-and 3-liter bottles.

All food bank items donated will be dropped off to the Audrey Dreyer Food Bank for Shelton School families. Nonperishable items only will be accepted.

Needed food drive items include canned, boxed items or condiments.

To donate can tabs, feel free to drop them off. They will then be donated to the VA Hospital for kidney dialysis efforts.

Any individual who donates a food bank item or can/bottles for the recycling drive will automatically be entered into the raffle drawing for Mets tickets. Include name, phone number and email on all tickets. The raffle winner will be picked on Sunday, March 27.
