At about 3 a.m. Saturday, Companies 1 and 3 were dispatched to Route 8 south near Exit 12 for a motor vehicle accident. While entering Route 8 at Exit 13, Squad 1 found a car on its roof in the woods.

The state police officer at the scene said everyone was out of the vehicle and asked firefighters to continue to the next crash.

Squad 1 then located another vehicle that had rolled over at the top of the Exit 12 ramp. The driver of that vehicle had also extricated himself from the crash and was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Squad 1 remained on scene until the scene was cleared.
