Derby Man Dies After Being Hit By Car

DERBY, Conn. -- A 57 year-old Derby man was struck and killed by a car while walking along Route 34 near Chapel Street late Thursday night, according to the Connecticut Post.

The unidentified man was pronounced dead on the way to Yale-New Haven Hospital, Derby police told the Connecticut Post. 

The department is not releasing the man's name until his family is notified. Police said the initial investigation does not point to the driver as being at fault, added the Connecticut Post.
