SHELTON, Conn. — Echo Hose Hook & Ladder Co. in Shelton responded to a motorcycle accident on Route 8 in Shelton with serious injuries on Sunday evening, it reported in a Facebook post.

The accident was reported on Route 8 south near Exit 11 with a motorcycle, with two patients with serious injuries, the fire department said.

A motorcycle rider was down and in the roadway with a possible limb amputation, the Connecticut Post reported.
