He was born in New Haven on June 6, 1998, the son of Edmund M. and Barbara (Wiedmeyer) Conklin.
Known as Eddy, he was a varsity basketball player and also played JV baseball at Shelton High School.
Eddy enjoyed playing “Call of Duty,” was a daredevil and had a great sense of humor. He also loved fishing and all outdoor activities.
He is also survived by his sister, Ashley Conklin; grandfather Edmund J. Conklin; his Great Aunt Dottie; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Calling hours will be Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton.
On Saturday, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. at St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton.
Burial will be private in Lawn Cemetery in the spring.
At the request of his family, memorial contributions in lieu of flowers are requested to The Eddy Conklin Scholarship Fund to benefit students at Shelton High School, ℅ 120 Meadow St., Shelton, CT 06484, or through the funeral home.
