Soup's On At Liquid Lunch In Shelton

SHELTON, Conn. — It's National Homemade Soup Day and the best way to celebrate is to have someone else do the slaving over a hot stove.

At Liquid Lunch in Shelton, Owner and Chef Fred Bialek offers more than six different soups -- the usual suspects like chicken noodle, tomato basil and French onion -- as well as various speciality options. He and his wife, Michele, lifelong residents of the Valley, say they came up with the idea of a healthy lunch spot with an emphasis on soups 12 years ago, because they were bored with the lunch options in downtown Shelton.

The fact that Fred is a Culinary Institute of American (CIA) grad makes the soup magic that much more special -- and delicious.

Liquid Lunch, located at 6 Research Drive, is now a contender in our DVlicious "Best Soup in Fairfield County" contest. Go HERE to vote.
