“Everything is brand new,” said co-owner Rob Rodriguez, who has been at the location for a decade. “This is probably the best equipment you can get anywhere out there.”
The state-of-the-art center is a perk for Scinto tenants, who may use the facility for free, he said. Given the size of the complex, he estimates the benefit is open to thousands of people.
Robert Scinto, who was on hand for the ribbon-cutting this week, said he believes BDx is an important service for his tenants.
“I’m very fortunate to have Rob,” he said. “He’s got a great spirit about him.”
BDx offers a range of health and fitness solutions from group and personal, customized training and on-site seminars and “lunch and learns.” The welcoming space includes bike and treadmills, free weights and weight machines, as well as mats and Pilates balls and supplies.
Rodriguez said programs can be personalized to a client’s fitness needs and nutritional counseling is also available.
“The biggest thing is making a difference,” he said. “There are so many fitness fads. Do you want results that are temporary or results that last?”
This week’s event marked a re-branding of the 14-year-old center, formerly known as Bio Dynamix. BDx Fitness’ clients have included GE, Unilever, Prudential, the New York Football Giants and the Toronto Blue Jays.
Bill Purcell, president of the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce, thanked Scinto for providing his tenants with the updated facility.
“As soon as you walk in, it’s a statement,” he said, motioning to Scinto. “Everything this man touches has that magic.”
