And this year, a portion of any proceeds raised through donations will go to the Lower Naugatuck Valley Boys & Girls Club.
"We are thrilled to continue this free summer concert series in downtown Shelton with a great musical lineup and an enjoyable place for families to gather each Friday evening,” said Jimmy Tickey, Celebrate Shelton co-creator.
The festivities begin Friday, July 21 with Jay Russell & the Split Coils and The Alpaca Gnomes. Friday, July 28 features Gracie Day & The Knights and Wise Old Moon and Creamery Station and Hubinger Street will round out the schedule on Aug. 4.
Each concert begins at 6 p.m. and this year Celebrate Shelton has added a pre-concert Kids Hour featuring Danny Magic, Sterling Theater Company and Bring the Hoopla. The evenings will run from 5 to 9 p.m.
Each night also offers a selection of food trucks, handmade artisans and a beer garden. This year’s vendors will include Pierogies on Wheels, Rita’s Italian Ice, Fryborg, Shoreline Prime Meats & Deli, Sal’s Pizza Truck, Dad’s Food Truck and Tipsy Cones.
The concerts are free, but there is a suggested donation of $5 to help sustain Celebrate Shelton. A portion will be donated to the Boys & Girls Club at season’s end.
