Albina Ejupi, of Westport, has been named the grand prize winner of the Goddard School's Teacher of the Year Awards.
In addition to being the grand prize winner, Ejupi was also named a regional winner, joining 15 other teachers nationwide who were selected from more than 6,600.
Ejupi was recognized for her stimulating and supportive learning environment and for creatively engaging her students by fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning.
"At Goddard, we are focused on nurturing teachers' growth and empowering their success," said Dr. Lauren Loquasto, senior vice president and chief academic officer,
Ejupi was gifted a $6,000 cash award,
"I'm deeply honored to have my passion for education acknowledged through this prestigious award," said Ejupi. "Every day, I'm inspired by the growth and enthusiasm of my students, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such talented and dedicated colleagues who share my commitment to early childhood development."
