Winter Weather Advisory Issued In Fairfield County

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The National Weather Services has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow, freezing rain, and sleet this afternoon into Monday evening in Northern Fairfield County.

Snow and ice, with snow accumulations of up to an inch is possible, along with a trace of ice into early evening.

The Advisory is in effect until 9 p.m. Monday evening.

This could impact the evening commute making driving hazardous, with slippery conditions on untreated roadways and walkways, as well as overpasses.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties.

Drivers should be prepared for slippery surfaces and limited visibilities, and are advised to use caution while driving.
