During this time, humid conditions will build, setting the stage for a potential stretch of three straight days of temperatures around the 90-degree mark Tuesday through Thursday, with storms possible.
The shift comes after a stretch of sunny skies and low humidity throughout the area.
Sunday's high temperature with be between 84 and 86 degrees under partly sunny skies. The relative humidity will surge to around 80 percent. The overnight low will be around 70 degrees.
There is a slight chance of showers and storms in the early afternoon, followed by a chance of showers after 2 p.m.
The chance of storms Sunday evening is 40 percent.
Monday's high temperature will be around 85 degrees before things really heat up through midweek, starting with a projected high of 90 on Tuesday.
