Missing Teen Found Safe In Fairfield County
A missing Westchester teen who had been gone for more than a week has been found by police. Northern Westchester resident Kristan “John John” Lee, age 15, of Yorktown, went missing on the night of Thursday, Aug 4. After receiving the notice, Yorktown detectives immediately began an intensive investigation by checking social media, notifying neighboring cities and states as well as New York City and state and federal officials, said Chief Robert Noble of the Yorktown Police. A 51-year-old Northern Westchester man is facing charges after an alleged road-rage incident where he damaged a woman’s car, police said. At approximately 4:45 p.m. on Monday, March 28, there was a report of criminal mischief involving two drivers in Yorktown that required police intervention. A 74-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly driving a van reported stolen in Vermont to a police department in New York, in Northern Westchester County. The Yorktown Police Department reported that the Vermont resident has been charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Police did not release the woman's name. Multiple Black Bear Sightings Reported In Westchester
Multiple sightings of a black bear were reported Saturday in Northern Westchester near the Putnam border. The Yorktown Police Department received the reports of a black bear along the Route 202 (Crompond Road) corridor near BJ's, Lexington Avenue, Sylvan Glen Park Preserve, the Yorktown Paw Park and Stony Street. Bethel Man Who Crashes Car Was Impaired By Drugs, Police Say
A Fairfield County man is facing multiple charges after being busted with cocaine following a crash on Old Yorktown Road when he was allegedly impaired, police said.
